In this episode of the Operation Self Reset podcast, Jake is talking with Grant Cardone, author of The 10X Rule.
Grant wrote three books about selling and negotiating, and readers began writing to him asking about setting goals and how to stay with it. Grant wondered what was the problem people were having with goal setting and how could it be changed. He learned from his research into this problem that people aren’t setting high enough goals. We all have these voices—in our own heads or from parents—that tell us to “be reasonable” when we start thinking about crazy dreams and ideas. But why should we be reasonable? Why are we selling ourselves short?
As Grant reminds us what made America great was an abnormal drive for something that didn’t already exist. We live in a world of abnormal ideas and innovations, where standing out from the crowd can make you successful. Don’t settle for normal, push past reasonable and reach for the abnormal to find the happiness and success you want.
Listen in as Grant tells us how to push ourselves to find the abnormal desires that will bring us happiness, success, and break us out of the crowd.
