Operation Self Reset Episode 47: Keep Positive With Jon Gordon

In this episode of the Operation Self Reset podcast, Jake is talking with Jon Gordon, author of ten books on self development.

In his early thirties, Jon was struggling with his life. He was unhappy in his work, and so one day he asked himself what it was that he really wanted to do. He realized that he wanted to inspire and motivate people, so he started a website with a newsletter where he wrote a motivating thought each week. From there, he went on to writing motivational books and reaching out to help other people.

Jon teaches us that we should be open to finding our purpose. You were created for a purpose and are here in this life for a purpose. You can find your purpose as long as you open yourself up to looking for the signs. Figure out where you want to make an impact and put yourself into situations that allow you to do it.

Do you focus on fear or on faith? Even in bad circumstances, you can choose to stay positive and learn from the disappointments or setbacks. Listen in as Jon talks about how to stay motivated and positive even when things get hard.

Here’s what Jake and Jon talked about in this episode:

  • Finding your purpose
  • Passion in the mundane
  • Choosing to be positive
