Jake has recorded this episode in his new home! He’s been through stressfull packing and unpacking, but happy to be in his new home office!
He’s starting the episode with reminding us that we own our fate, our destiny. To this purpose, he is sharing some ideas he got from an inspiring little pamphlet writtten by Albert E.N. Gray called “The Common Denominator of Success” – link in the Mentioned in this episode section.
The author shares basic ideas, that are nevertheless powerful.
He argues that one common thing that sets successful apart and that causes them to be successful is the habit of doing things that failures do not like to do.
Jake mentions Michael Phelps, the most decorated olympian of all times. What sets him apart from other gifted athletes is the fact that he focuses on the WIN – what’s important now. This is translated into performing well, inspite of not feeling good or in the mood of giving one’s best!
Moreover, Albert E.N Gray also mentions that successful people also have a purpose, a passion, something greater than themselves to work one. If you do not know yet what your passion is, there are certain ways your could try and find it. You could pursue your spouse’s or your friend’s passion and see if you like it, too. Otherwise, you would think of what you liked doing when you were a kid and pick it up from where you left it.
