In this episode, Jake is talking with certified life coach Stefanie Ziev.
Stefanie is the founder of the On the Hook movement. We put ourselves on the hook for various things every day. We make goals for ourselves, such as losing weight or writing a book, but we seem to easily find reasons to let ourselves off the hook. We’ll spend our time watching TV instead or sleeping in instead of working on our goals. So Stefanie decided to make a change and put herself on the hook for good to help her reach her goals. Others have joined in with her in the On the Hook challenge, putting themselves on the hook for the goals they’ve had for themselves and building accountability to help them reach these goals.
Stefanie now works as a certified life coach, but she started her career as a TV executive. Stefanie spent her childhood in summer camps and continued attending camp until she was 27, working as the assistant director. She loved being a coach and managing a team in camp and in her career. When Stefanie realized that she hated her job, she knew she needed a change and decided to go for what she really wanted to do in life. It worked out well: right after she got her certification as a life coach, she was let go from her TV network job.
Listen in as Stefanie explains how we all can put ourselves on the hook and begin to change our lives to move toward our dreams.
