Operation Self Reset Episode 32 – Uncover Your Entrepreneur

On this episode of the Operation Self Reset podcast, Jake is helping us uncover that hidden entrepreneur inside of ourselves. We know what you’re thinking: I’m not an entrepreneur! Yes, you are!

Everyone has an entrepreneur inside just waiting to get out. But what if I’m not an inventor? What if I don’t want to start my own business? You still have that entrepreneur spirit inside you. It may be buried deep within because of the rules and expectations you’ve conformed to in life, but you can find a way to release the inner entrepreneur. Approach every situation in your life with an entrepreneur frame of mind. How? Think outside the box. Have the courage to do things differently than the expected method. It doesn’t matter what the situation is: filing paperwork for your job, washing your laundry, organizing your kitchen cabinets, whatever! Change one thing in your everyday routine and open yourself up to new ideas.

Maybe you want to approach your boss about a raise or different working hours. Maybe you have a great idea and you just need to present it to the right people, but the idea of putting yourself out there terrifies you. People—hosts of popular shows, your boss, whoever—they’re all just human beings, like you. Don’t be afraid to take a chance and ask for their time or for something you want. Take time to invest in the new you. It may not be immediate, but if you keep putting yourself out there you can find success.

Entrepreneurs are ordinary people who decided to see the world in an extraordinary way. No matter what your lifestyle is, what your job may be, or what obstacles stand in the way of what you want to do, keep pushing toward something new and different. Think of ways you can do ordinary things differently. Expand your idea of normal and don’t be confined by rules—or even brules, as Jake mentions. You never know when the smallest change will lead to something big later on!
