Resources

I thought it would be helpful to share things I use to keep Operation Self Reset going and myself improving daily. I don’t have all the answers but this list has personally helped me.

If it’s on the list I use it (as of now). I will add to it as time goes on. Enjoy!!

Please understand that I have experience with all of these companies and I recommend them because they are helpful and useful, not because of the small commissions I make if you decide to buy something. Please do not spend any money on these products unless you feel you need them or that they will help you achieve your goals.

Web hosting:

Go Daddy: You have seen the commercials. Need I say more? You want to start a website you need to buy the .com, .net, .co domain names.
I like Go Daddy for the same reason as Bluehost. It’s an easy site to navigate and if you need help they have people you can talk to 24/7.

***Insider tip: If you leave a domain name in your shopping cart, Go Daddy will email you 15%-30% OFF coupons by email to complete your order. Shh, don’t tell too many people.***

Bluehost: I have used this company numerous times for hosting my websites. The best part of Bluehost is that their customer service is AMAZING. You can call them or chat with them online to help or fix your problem. I called them on Christmas Day because my site was not loading at all! I was talking to a person from AMERICA in literally 2 minutes. Now that is customer service.

Amazon: Literally they have everything form A to Z. Best prices, best customer service, and best reviews on ANYTHING! Before I buy anything I scan or type it into Amazon to make sure not only that I am getting the best price but also to see what others have said about it.

Audible.com: If you know how important it is to read but you don’t have the time, lucky for you they have your genre of book in audio format. It works with Mac or PC. Easy to download and transfer. The selection is crazy big. I listen to one audio book per week. Knowledge is power!

Apps I love!

Evernote: The best app for note taking, to-do lists, and just organization of my thoughts. It’s widely popular and FREE. I use it daily. Dropbox: I have a laptop and a desktop computer. The best way to share files between two computers besides emailing them back and forth is to use

Dropbox. Best part: It’s FREE and they have apps for your phone or tablet. You get 5mb just for signing up.

Lumosity: If you are like me you want to have the sharpest brain possible. I came across this app while reading Entrepreneur mag. It’s brain games for adults. They have free and paid versions. It’s fun, they keep the games under a minute, and yes I do see some improvement in focus…OK, not really, but I think so. Daily tools:

Daily Tools

Vitamix 5200: Yes, a blender made a list. I use it two to four times a day. I use it for my veggie smoothies, baby food making, and ice cream. I love ice cream but hate all the processed chemical-based ingredients. For ice cream I use: organic milk, organic sugar, 2 to 4 cups ice, and some type of flavor, either vanilla or fresh fruit. It’s awesome. Come over and I will make it for you some time.

Tea: Rishi peppermint: I get on different kicks and currently I have stepped away from coffee and I am now a tea man. For the longest time I tried all different types of tea but then read about the benefits of peppermint tea. First it’s caffeine-free. I am trying to steer away from caffeine, just my personal choice. Second it makes you and your breath fresh. Just like any other tea, it has hundreds of other benefits. I like Rishi peppermint because it has the strongest taste.

Clark Howard: I head about Clark through a friend. Wow, if you want to know the best place for life insurance, how to set up a saving account for your child, how to find cheap travel, how to find free places to eat lunch, how to negotiate a cheaper rate on your cable or internet bill, or you want to pay down your credit cards faster, Clark is the man to see. All his information is free and if you can’t find something on his site, he has an 800 phone number that you can call in and ask questions and they will tell you the answer or the place to find it. I have called them a few times while trying to find the information to set up my son’s 529 college fund. Amazing site.

Life leadership: I got involved in Life Leadership through a friend. I never heard of this program and now I love it. It’s basically self-discovery products that can be customized and personalized to your own goals and needs. This program has 8 Fs of LIFE: Family, Finances, Fitness, Faith, Following, Freedom, Friendship, and Fun. Learn and grow with timeless truths and cutting edge life-changing information from best-selling authors and leadership experts in the privacy of your own home for as little as $10 a month. Take a look only if you are interested. I get a monthly leadership program that includes 4 CDs. It comes month after month and has great content.

Books

* I love reading but with a new born, podcast, and full time job my time is limited.  I stared listening to audio books.  Audio books allow me to listen to books I always wanted to read but never had the time.  This is a life changer or should I say life re-setter.  Here is the link to Auiabletrial.com/osr.  Your first book is 100% FREE.  Dont like it keep the book its that simple.

  • See You at the Top: This was the first book I read from Zig Ziglar.  He has inspired me to be where I am today.  His teachings are second to none.  Mr. Ziglar has passed but I was lucky to see him during my two years of self discovery.
  • The Secret: This is a must read!  If you believe you have control of the universe this book is for you.  I own the book and have the audio version.  This book has shown me to be grateful and loving for everything that has come into my life.  The one thing this book is lacking is telling you that you must take action.  The book motivates you bring good fortune to your life.  It does not teach you that you must take action.
  • The Power: This is the second book to The Secret.  The Power dives deeper into being grateful and loving towards your surroundings.  This book will make you feel uplifted about yourself and your life.
  • Awaken the Giant Within: Anthony Robins is an amazing speaker and writer.  In this book he gives you stories and life lessons on how to find your true calling in life. Excellent book.
